BUTTERFLY PARK IN KHANVEL

Love is like a butterfly It goes where it pleases, and it pleases wherever it goes. 

This is quite good place to enjoy nature with many colourful dancing butterfly . if you are a shutterbug then you can sharpen your photography skill. quite big garden will many flowers and tall palm and coconut trees. ideal time to visit in morning or late afternoon . Ideal month is November to January when you can see many more verities of butterfly . if you love nature , definitely you will enjoy. 

People visiting the Butterfly Park, normally expect to see many butterflies at any given time and often complain about not able to see any. As a matter of fact, normally one can watch the butterflies flying around, when the temperatures are above 25 deg.c, and when the temperature are cooler or cloudy, the Butterflies will be normally basking in the plant leaves or branches, positioning their wings in different orientation for warming up. 

The wonderful feature of some of the species of Butterflies are its ability to camouflage their appearances to safeguard them and the capacity to freeze themselves look like a stick or branches to defend themselves. So many times, they may be sitting hidden on the plants and not visible.They have typical four stage life cycle and normally live for a month to a year. The Park has maintained an enclosure, where they have succeeded to exhibit the life cycle of different species of butterflies in real. 

This Park is a definite place for a visit for families with children and to watch the different species of butterflies and the best time to watch them is during the day, when the temperature are high. The park is closed on Monday and is open on all other days from 9.00am to 5.00 pm.
