The Museum was established in the 1928.
The Museum possesses unique collection of tribal art and cultural property representing Gujarat, India and foreign countries. It also contains specimens of stuffed wild animals, specimens of stuffed wild animals, specimens of zoology and geology. It has a special collection of musical instruments, classical as well as Folk. The collection of Industrial art from India and Foreign countries are interesting. Nearly 9 different categories of exhibits are on display. In all there are about 8,433 exhibits in the possession of this museum.
